The course will enable students to work with professional outdoor guides, ecotourism business consultants and leading academics in the field, to enhance their knowledge, critical thinking and innovative product development ability in the industry. The Degree is delivered in the Highlands and via summer/winter schools, by ecotourism and adventure industry experts. Students have access to outstanding ecotourism operations and adventure travel businesses set amongst great mountain scenery and the UK's most stunning coastline.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree, or applicants with other qualifications and/or relevant professional experience will be considered on an individual basis.

Course modules

It is possible to study individual modules for personal or professional development, or work towards the PgCert, PgDip or full Masters degree Modules include: PgCert: Ecotourism; tourism policy and management; nature-based tourism destination development. PgDip: understanding the tourist experience; sustainable tourism. Options include: interpreting the natural environment; placement; research methods and techniques.
