This course equips aspiring and emerging filmmakers with the skills to transform their dreams into cinematic realities.MA Filmmaking is designed to nurture emerging film talent and support students as they develop their own original visions and voices. The programme is intended both for students who wish to develop a personal, authored practice in directing or screenwriting across the whole range of screen genres - fiction, documentary, essay and experimental film - and for advanced practitioners in cinematography, sound recording/design and editing, who wish to expand their experience and showreel with the support of leading professionals. The MA Filmmaking is for people who have a single-minded dedication to the cinema and its tradition, including the way that tradition is currently being transformed in the contemporary digital environment.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have a Bachelors degree with Honours.
