University of the West of Scotland
The programme has been designed in consultation with professionals working in the sector. It is aimed at those who have the necessary knowledge and skills expected of a professional accountant - as evidenced by their membership of an appropriate professional body (see below) - who wish to augment and broaden their current skills by developing a deeper understanding of the key issues facing contemporary accounting. You will develop enquiry skills and research abilities to enable you to consider and understand at a deeper level developments within accounting; adding value to your existing professional qualification by developing your critical awareness and understanding of accounting's current issues, and preparing you for future debates within the discipline. Graduates who have acquired this deeper, theoretical knowledge will be of key interest to employers within the profession. Detailed programme information can be found at www.uws.ac.uk/pg2017
