Advanced Computer Systems Development
The course was designed with significant industrial input; recognised by the British computer society (BCS); this MSc offers modules covering the latest developments in computer systems analysis, design and implementation, the main areas of employment in the computing and I.T. sector.
Applicants should have a degree with a substantial computing element from a course such as computing or information technology; graduates in a scientific or engineering discipline who have studied a significant component of technical computing at all, or most levels, are also considered; professionals with experience in computing or IT who wish to update their skills in this area also find the course of interest.
Modules include: Ethics for the IT professional; managing projects and security; research design and methods; service orientated development. Optional modules include: business database applications; enterprise systems development; games console development, interactive design for smart devices; internet technologies; m-business; and oracle database development.
