Quality management is the application of specialised managerial and technological skills to achieve the desired quality at a minimum cost and focusing on the customer; it also addresses strategic quality issues and leadership in establishing a total quality ethos.
Applicants must possess a degree or equivalent qualification and appropriate industrial experience.
Modules inlcude: Dynamics of management communication; information technology; quality appraisal and measurement; quality assurance and management system statistical quality control; support modules (2 from); materials and quality; reliability engineering; computer aided design; manufacturing systems; non-destructive testing and condition monitoring; service quality; plus 2 optional modules from: strategic quality management; interpersonal skills and change management; software quality management and advanced information technology; operations management; managing customer service.
