Product Design and Innovation
This programme explores the nature of the innovation process and its relationship to the design and development of consumer and industrial products; it provides a platform for students to further their knowledge of the nature of innovation and the necessity for its application in the design of innovative products, systems and services.
Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; command of spoken and written English to meet the demands of the programme.
Core modules: Contemporary issues in design; design development principles and practice; research methods and project investigation; product visualisation; innovation practice; managing intellectual property; major project.
Assessed by: coursework; examination; dissertation.
