Professional Arts Management
This course offers the opportunity to enable arts practitioners to gain a qualification that offers the road to success as a top class manager within the arts sector or to becoming self-employed. The course is designed to equip our students with advanced business knowledge and understanding of finance. The aim is to gives the students the practical skills required to run a business. There is an opportunity to exchange knowledge with Irish counterparts, and to discover the nuances between the different cultures.
Good Honours degree or equivalent; or substantial relevant experience.
Set modules as follows: financial management; human resource management (HRM); marketing management; strategic management; individuals in organisations; organisational behaviour; research methodology; there are pathway modules in: culturepreneurship; funding in the arts; arts entrepreneurship; project: practice based learning; dissertation.
Dissertation or major project developed under supervision.
