University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD)
A level 6 internationally recognised qualification which provides the knowledge, skills and ability to do in relation to marketing planning and develops the marketing professional across a range of areas. The qualification is a hybrid of marketing with considerable emphasis on management as marketers move from specialist aspects of marketing into either a functional or departmental role.
Applicants require The Chartered Institute of Marketing's (CIM) entry test or meet 1 of the following criteria: Professional certificate in marketing or certificate in professional marketing; any relevant level 4 qualification; foundation degree in business with marketing; Honours or Master's degree from a recognised university with at least 1/3 of credits coming from marketing content (i.e. 120 credits in Honours degrees or 60 credits in Master's degree); professional practice (suggested 2 years marketing in an operational role) plus diagnostic assessment onto Level 6.
Core modules: Strategic marketing; mastering metrics. Elective modules: Driving innovation; digital strategy.
A variety of assessment methods is used depending on the module chosen. Assessment methods used within the qualification are employer-driven, practitioner-based, relevant and appropriate for business needs.
