Research specialisms include: the identification and modelling of stress in professional groups; stress in parents caring for a disabled child; issues affecting young people with neurological conditions when in contact with the police; the accessibility and readability of information available to parents with a brain-injured child; factors which cause high levels of stress in parents caring for a child diagnosed with cerebral palsy, down's syndrome, autism, Tourette's syndrome or Aspergers; the applications of electroencephalogram (EEG) biofeedback with specific emphasis on ADHD and traumatic brain injury (TBI); predicting long-term outcome after TBI; effects of ventro-medial frontal cortex damage regarding executive dysfunction; comparisons of schizotypal traits and their relation to executive functioning.

Entry requirements

All entrants must possess a good 1st degree (normally 1st or upper 2nd Class) from a recognised university or institution of higher education.
