University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD)
The programme is designed for teachers, teaching assistants, practitioners in post 16 provision and school based youth workers who wish to enhance their understanding and knowledge when supporting children and young people with additional needs. This part time blended learning course contributes to initial and continuing professional development with two 30 credit modules. The course is designed to draw on the student's knowledge, expertise and interest in the field of additional need. It enables students to use their workplace as a learning environment to support their study and raise awareness of the factors involved in developing an inclusive learning environment for all pupils. Students are encouraged to investigate professional responses to a diverse range of individual learning needs in the context of identification, assessment and planning to maximise curriculum access.
By personal interview.
