The course equips trainees to teach art and design within the 11-18 age range; particular focuses on: Key Stage 3 National Curriculum art; GCSE; AS- and A-level art and design.
Degree in art or related subject; GCSE or equivalent mathematics and English at grade C or above; Criminal Records bureau (CRB) enhanced disclosure; interview.
Curriculum studies; information and communication in subject teaching; professional studies: 24 weeks are spent in school.
Assessment methods include 3 curriculum studies assignments and 2 professional studies assignments.
