University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD)
The programme encourages the student to explore in depth a range of topics relating to the Bible, both from historical and contemporary perspectives.
A 1st class or upper 2nd class undergraduate degree; the school encourages students with an equivalent and appropriate professional qualification or significant and relevant professional experience to apply; a non-graduate may also be admitted to candidature provided that she/he has gained a minimum of 3 years professional experience relevant and appropriate to the programme and they can demonstrate a satisfactory level of writing /analytical skills.
All years: research methods; the Bible (text and transmission); the Bible (contemporary approaches); genesis and isaiah; the gospel of John and Paul and his letters; modern and contemporary approaches to hermeneutics; perspectives on Islamic sources; dissertation.
A range of assessment methods are employed including summative assignments, course work, essays and a final dissertation.
