The programme has been designed to provide graduates and experienced personnel with the knowledge, management skills and specialist expertise required to become a successful facilities manager. Facilities management is a comprehensive approach to the provision, management and maintenance of buildings, combined with the management of people and essential services that support an organisation's main activities.
An Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline; command of spoken and written English to meet the demands of the programme (eg TOEFL 550 or equivalent).
Core modules: management and organisational behaviour; facilities management and business organisations; managing premises and maintenance; services and energy management; health and safety management; the working environment and support services; strategic property management and environmental impact assessment; procurement and contractual management; research methodology; plus 1 option from: management of quality and operations; energy, environmental performance and analysis; environmental technology and waste management; planning and environmental assessors; sustainable development; consultancy and change.
Assessment by: coursework; examinations; dissertation.
