The course covers training in a wide variety of teaching techniques with opportunities to try ideas out in the partner schools.
A degree in physics or any branch of engineering; GCSEs or equivalent in mathematics and English at grade C or above, an A-level pass in physics or appropriate equivalent; Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) enhanced disclosure.
Curriculum studies; information communications technology (ICT) in subject teaching; professional studies.
During the year the students' complete and submit coursework assignments in both their curriculum studies subject; during school placements teachers and tutors formally observe and assess a number of the students' lessons and at the end of each term the students receive a written report which summarises their progress towards meeting the required standard.
