English Literature

The course welcomes teachers with at least two years' professional experience and is suitable for you if you are an experienced teacher, teacher trainer, materials writer or university lecturer. For students who would like to focus on a particular period or theme, the MA can follow a variety of pathways, including modern and contemporary literature; Shakespeare and the British dramatic tradition; critical theory; sexuality and gender; and 17th-century literature and culture; each pathway features specialist modules to allow in-depth study.

Entry requirements

Minimum Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in English and/or American literature, or in comparable field of study; minimum English language requirement for overseas students is IELTS 7.5 or equivalent.
