German Cultural Studies
Course combines taught modules with research skills training and individual research; all students take a core module in German cultural studies together with options in contemporary German literature, film and cultural history.
Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in German studies or a related discipline; English language requirements: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 100, PTE 70, CAE 60+ or CPE.
Options include: German unification; National Socialism in post-war German writing; love, eros and family in post-1945 German culture; issues in film history; society and culture in the Cold War; translation studies; 15,000-word dissertation.
Funding can be applied for via the Arts and Humanities Research Board; limited numbers of postgraduate fellowships are available through the University of Warwick.
