Health and Social Studies
Research seeks to integrate theory, policy and practice in social policy and social work, with critical focus on role of social divisions such as class, age, sexuality, gender, ethnicity and disability; collaboration with users of services and those campaigning for social change, plus examination of issues within international and comparative framework; 3 main research areas: health, medicine and society; children, gender and the family; work, labour markets and markets of welfare.
Normally, at least a 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent required; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0, TOEFL iBT 100, PTE 70, CAE 60 or CPE.
ESRC studentships; Overseas Research Scheme award; Warwick Postgraduate Research Fellowships.
