Design, Analysis and Interpretation of Epidemiological Research
This is a 5-day taught module followed by an assignment and is available as a stand-alone PGA or as a module within the MSC public health, MSc child health or MSc public health; the module aims to give students a systematic understanding of the key issues in the design, statistical analysis and interpretation of the common types of epidemiological study; it is designed to further develop the research skills gained in the existing module epidemiology and statistics.
Lower 2.2 Honours in a 1st degree of an approved university in a relevant discipline or disciplines; students with a 1st language that is not English are expected to obtain 1 of the following recognised English language qualifications: IELTS (British council international testing system) of at least 6.5 with 6.5 in reading and writing; TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) of at least 92 (internet-based iBT); PTE 62.
