Advanced Clinical Practice for Health Care Professionals
The course develop senior non-medical clinicians to undertake autonomous practice from a number of specialist areas and disciplines; the structure of the course enable the non-medical clinicians to undertake a full systems examination (child and adult) and to develop the knowledge and skills to clinically and critically interpret results of tests and investigations; the course is delivered by practising senior clinicians from emergency and urgent care led by Professor Matthew Cooke; National Director of Emergency and Urgent Care at the Department of Health.
All applicants must possess at least 4 years post-registration experience; they need to be currently employed in a role that supports development of clinical skills during the course of the modules, and have testimony of mentorship support from their employers.
