Energy and Power Electronic Systems
This course includes: Renewable energy systems, including wind, solar, tidal and thermal; power electronic technologies and power semiconductor devices; modelling of energy systems and power electronics using software such as MATLAB/Simulink, Dymola and Simplorer; application of power electronics to energy systems; specialised knowledge in areas related to energy and power electronic systems.
Minimum 2.2 degree in an engineering-related subject or equivalent; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62 or equivalent for applicants whose 1st language is not English.
5 core modules, 1 optional module, and a project: a piece of original research or innovative design giving excellent preparation for industrial or PhD.
