Research Methods in Health Sciences

This course provides training for students wishing to go on to study for a PhD.

Entry requirements

2.1 Honours in a 1st degree of an approved university in a relevant discipline or disciplines; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 with 6.5 in reading and writing, TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62, CAE 60+ or CPE.

Course modules

Core modules: Epidemiology and statistics; understanding research and critical appraisal; sociology of health, health policy, and social determinants of health; qualitative and comparative research methods in health; options: design, analysis and interpretation of epidemiological research; health economics and economic evaluation of health care; international health policy; patient and public involvement in health care.
