This course is suitable for you if you have a background in education or are seeking to understand education within its broad contexts. It encourages you to link theoretical and practical understanding of issues in education, while developing generic knowledge, skills and understanding of the questions involved in conceptualising and designing educational research.

Entry requirements

2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; plus 3 years professional experience involving educational assessment; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62 or equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: Foundation research methods; teaching, learning and assessment; education, policy and society; dissertation. Plus optional modules.

Sponsorship information

ESRC Advanced Course studentship is available for 1 home or EU full-time student.
