Religions and Education

This course is aimed at teachers of religious education and related subjects, and those working with young people in a faith or belief context. You will have the opportunity to engage with the internationally recognised curriculum development work of the Warwick Religions and Education Research Unit, and with its qualitative and quantitative research in the field of religions and education.

Entry requirements

1st degree (2.2 Honours or above) in a relevant discipline and some teaching experience; other qualifications and experience may be considered in lieu of normal entry requirements; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62, CAE 60+ or CPE.

Course modules

Modules include: Interpreting religious world views; the Hindu tradition; research methods; current issues in religious education; the Christian tradition: local and global; interpreting religious world views; the Hindu tradition; research methods; current issues in religious education; the Christian tradition: local and global; dissertation (compulsory).

Assessment methods

Assessment by 4,000-word essay per course plus 15,000-word dissertation.
