University of Warwick
This course enables students to research a topic of interest to considerable depth; the programme combines research methods training and individual, supervised research leading to an 80,000 word thesis; the thesis is expected to be a substantial original contribution to knowledge and, in principle, to be capable of peer-reviewed publication.
Minimum Master's level qualification from a British university or equivalent; at least 2 years' appropriate professional experience normally required; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL iBT 92 or PTE 62 for applicants whose 1st language is not English.
UK and European Union students are eligible to apply for grants from UK government funded bodies such as the economic and social research council and the arts and humanities research council (AHRB).
