Urban Informatics and Analytics

This course will enable you to understand and promote the theory and science of smart cities and to gather city-scale data. You'll also gain the skills to transform this data into knowledge, capitalising on emerging developments in big data and interdisciplinary solutions to the world's urban challenges. Unlike most existing courses that focus exclusively on data practices and tools rather than urban life itself, this course combines training in theoretical approaches with knowledge of practice-based methodological skills. This means you'll be able to use digitalised urban data to make informed decisions about real-world problems.

Entry requirements

A 1st or upper 2nd Class undergraduate degree is normally required. If your 1st language is not English, we normally require a minimum score of 7.0 in IELTS or equivalent. We are especially open to discussing applications from mature students who may have come to higher education through a range of diverse routes.
