The 4 compulsory modules provide training in key research skills; students learn how to handle and interrogate large data sets; they consider the theoretical and ethical issues that underpin social scientific research, and explore the methodological challenges of comparative approaches and interdisciplinary study.
2.1 Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as politics or international relations; English language requirements: IELTS 7.0, TOEFL (iBT) 100, PTE 70, CAE 60+ or CPE.
Modules include: Quantitative data analysis and interpretation; qualitative methods, data collection and analysis; comparative politics; explanation in social science.
