International Politics and Europe

The programme analyses European politics in the context of international relations and international political economy; in the core module students examine the European Union, its significance for the world system and the various ways in which it engages with the global political economy.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 degree (or equivalent) in political science or a related discipline; English language requirements: IELTS 7.0; TOEFL (iBT) 100, PTe 70, CAE 60+ or CPE.

Course modules

Modules include: Europe and world; plus 1 of international relations theory or theories and issues in international political economy. Optional modules: European integration; transformation of former Soviet Union; transformation of Central and Eastern Europe; issues in democratisation; comparative theory of welfare state.
