Course provides training in sociological theory and methods; forms the basis of the Department's ESRC 1+3 research methods training; candidates complete 6 coursework modules (3 research methods-based, 1 of which is double-weighted; 2 optional modules; 10,000-word dissertation.
2.1 Honours degree or equivalent in any arts or social science subject; candidates with professional qualifications in, for e.g social research, education, social work, medicine/nursing or other health care professions and law, or equivalent, also considered, as are candidates with other suitable work experience who can show evidence of previous work in related areas; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5, TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62, CAE 60+ or CPE.
