Psychology and Education

This course will help students to develop the skills to understand and communicate psychological research (such as that in early intervention, or special educational needs and disabilities) and its implications for education, whether that be school or the wider social context of children and their families.

Entry requirements

2.1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to psychology. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0.

Course modules

Core modules: foundation research methods; early intervention; individual differences: theory and classroom; critical readings in psychology and education; dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by: 4 assignments of 5,000 words each (or equivalent) and dissertation of 20,000 words.
