The course is made up of a taught component, consisting primarily of lecture modules and subsequent examinations, and a research component consisting of a written dissertation exploring a topic in depth.

Entry requirements

1st class degree in mathematics (or science with high mathematical content) from UK university or overseas equivalent; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5; TOEFL (iBT) 92, PTE 62, CAE 60+ or CPE.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by examination and coursework.
