Legal Practice (LPC stage 1)
Applicants require either: a qualifying law degree, usually 2.2 or above; a Common Professional Examination or Graduate Diploma in Law pass, usually with an average of at least 50 per cent. Applicants also need to have met the Solicitors Regulation Authority's requirements for entry, i.e. enrol as a student member and have been granted confirmation of completion of the academic stage of legal education.
Modules include: Criminal and civil litigation; property law and practice; business law and practice; professional conduct and regulation; wills and administration of estates; legal skills (advocacy, interviewing and advising, drafting, practical legal research and writing); solicitors accounts; taxation.
