Advanced Music Technology

The MA Advanced Music Technology course aims to give you a higher level of understanding of the practical techniques and theory that underpin traditional and contemporary audio technology. the course focuses on the creative use of advanced audio technology in the production of contemporary audio with an emphasis on the practical exploration of technique and technology. It assumes a prior level of competence in recording and sequencing technologies, and students have the opportunity work on digital and analogue consoles with access to 5.1 surround and ProTools HD 3 systems as well as digital and 2-inch analogue tape systems. The course also examines software interface programming and its use within electro-acoustic composition and performance.
