Public Health and Wellbeing

The programme has been designed to specifically support developing and extending knowledge and skill bases in order to promote health and contribute to the health of the public within a wide range of roles and practice. The focus of this course will be on multi-disciplinary working and health improvement.

Entry requirements

Students will be required to hold a 1st degree with a minimum classification of 2.2. 1st degrees in any subject will be accepted. GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent) in English language and mathematics. International IELTS of 7.0 required.

Course modules

The core modules are:

Public Health Perspectives, which focuses on key debates and concepts -
Public Health Policy, which takes an in-depth look at the policies that impact on health and those that public health staff implement -
Measuring Public Health and Wellbeing, which provides a solid grounding in public health data analysis and evidence-based practice using a wide range of examples from practice -
Leadership for Public Health, which supports the development of public health workplace skills -
Research Methods and Dissertation for Public Health and Wellbeing.
