The course explores the key multimedia principles, theories and concepts, as well as exposing students to the industry standard languages and tools including Flash, HTML, AJAX, After Effects and Xcode. Students examine a number of areas, including human computer interaction and the user experience, project management, web development, scripting for interactivity, and analytics.
A Honours degree (2.2 or above) or equivalent in a related discipline such as graphic design, computer science, digital imaging or journalism. Applications from candidates with relevant work experience, or already employed in the sector are welcomed. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require an IELTS score of 6.5.
Core modules: multimedia management; multimedia scripting for interactivity; project; research methods and professional practice; user-centered interface design. Option modules: digital editing and motion graphics; iphone application development; mobile application development; pervasive computing and interactive systems; web development; web marketing and analytics; 3d animation; 3d graphics.
