International Public Health Nutrition
This course gives students the scientific knowledge and practical skills to take an active role in international public health nutrition in a range of different settings. The programme covers statistics, epidemiology, research methods, nutritional assessment and programme design.
A good Honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent from a non-UK university, in a relevant science or social science subject. Applicants with relevant work experience are welcomed. Candidates whose 1st language is not English should have an IELTS score of at least 6.5, with the written component at a minimum of 6.5 (or equivalent).
Course content: concepts and principles of nutrition; food and nutrition in public health and policy; food security; nutrition assessment; international nutrition programme planning; research methods; research project in public health.
Assessment methods include examinations, tests and presentations.
