International Cultural Relations
The International Cultural Relations MA is designed to be an interdisciplinary graduate course of study that bridges theory and practice. It provides an opportunity to gain conceptual knowledge and applied skills in cultural relations, intercultural communication, cross-cultural management, cultural policy and cultural diplomacy in global, multi-stakeholder environments. It will emphasize an in-depth knowledge of international cultural relations in all its facets, provide an opportunity to develop professional networks among practitioners and scholars, and facilitate practical field experience.
Core modules: global perspectives in international cultural relations (prerequisite core-20 credits); dissertation of 12,000 words (core-40 credits); on-site summer intensive (summer 2016 core-20 credits). Option Modules (subject to validation) will include the following: intercultural communication skills; cultural development; cultural diversity and public engagement; cultural policy; research methods and evaluation; international cultural relations program development.
