University of Westminster
Non-law graduates wishing to become barristers or solicitors must take the Graduate Diploma in law conversion course, sometimes referred to as the 'Common Professional Exam'. The course seeks to develop knowledge of the core areas of law and the skills of legal analysis and research that are essential to succeed on the professional courses and in the early years of practice. Once you have completed this course, you can go on to study the legal practice course or the bar vocational course.
You will need a minimum of a lower 2nd Honours degree in a non-law degree, or equivalent postgraduate degree.
