International Banking and Finance

Students on this course explore the importance of international financial markets, foreign exchange markets and the role of multinational banks. Students also evaluate the impact of organisational theories and corporate governance on corporations in an international context as well as examine the relationship between risk management and regulation, including the role of capital and liquidity management.

Entry requirements

MSc: A 1st or 2nd Class Honours undergraduate degree from a UK university or overseas equivalent, in a related field such as accounting and finance, banking, economics or subjects aligned to mathematics. If English is not your 1st language, you need to have an IELTS score of 6.0 or above or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to the above.

Course modules

Modules include: money, banking and the financial system; international finance; empirical finance; global financial regulations and banking risk management; international investment and portfolio management; corporate governance in an international context; dissertation.
