Digital and Visual Communications
This course allows students to develop their interests and expertise in a preferred area within digital media and visual communications. Subject specialisms: animation; computer games design; design for advertising; graphic communication; illustration; multimedia design; photography; video and film production.
Typical modules include: introduction to postgraduate practice; critical, contextual and theoretical enquiry; understanding digital and visual communication practice; creative enquiry; professional practice and enterprise; critical, contextual and theoretical frameworks; defining digital and visual communication practice.
Students are assessed through a mixture of written assignments and creative studio projects. Students are normally fully supported during studio practice and tutorials to raise the quality of their work to Master's level.
