This course explores the subject in detail, covering areas such as theories and methods for social work practice; law for social workers; critical perspectives for social work.
MA: All candidates must hold an Honours degree (Bachelor) at 2.1 or above; candidates must have a GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent) in maths and English; have substantial prior experience in the field of social care, health or education (this can be either paid or voluntary work and must be verifiable by a manager).
Modules include: theories and methods for social work practice; law for social workers; critical perspectives for social work; social work with adults, children, families and carers; 2 placement modules comprising 170 days of assessed practice; dissertation.
