University of Wolverhampton
History of Britain and the First World War
This programme explores the history of Britain and the First World War.
MA: A 2.1 in a relevant degree is desirable, but applicants with other qualifications and non-graduates are considered on individual merits. Applicants should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).
Assessment is carried out though a series of essays: there are no examinations. Learning and teaching takes place through a mixture of lectures, seminars, and student presentations. Students also complete a dissertation, a piece of original research chosen in consultation with the programme leader, which will be individually supervised by a specialist tutor in the subject area.
