Event and Venue Management

This programme is designed for graduates and/or those with recent relevant professional experience to enhance employability and effectiveness via the development of a range of cognitive, intellectual, practical, personal and interpersonal skills combined with knowledge appropriate to the events and venue industry. The award provides a contextual knowledge base from which you can interpret relevant concepts and theories and develop ideas in order to not only provide solutions to the complex challenges facing event and venue organisations but also communicate these solutions effectively to a range of audiences. During these processes, students develop research skills for both academic and professional projects within a range of contexts that will reflect their interests.

Course modules

Students study a range of modules including: managing events in a digital world; the staging and evaluation of events; advanced operations management; contemporary event and venue management.

Assessment methods

A range of assessment methods will be utilised i.e. portfolio, case study, report, proposal, presentation, poster and examination.
