This course: provides students with exciting and diverse opportunities to advance and develop their fine art practice, contextual awareness and theoretical knowledge/understanding within a supportive and creative environment; support students to acquire advanced specialist knowledge and practical experience of working with different contemporary fine art media and its conceptual and theoretical relevance, and importance, including (but not limited to); painting and sculpture, printmaking, conceptual and social practices, intervention, performance, film, video, photography (digital and analogue), sound art, new-media, digital-media and installation; enable students to develop an advanced level of fine art practice informed directly by a relevant theoretical and contextual framework and independently critically evaluate developments within their individual working practice.
A good Honours degree in an art and design-related subject, or a combination of relevant professional experience and formal qualifications. Applicants should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent). Offers are subject to a portfolio review.
