Molecular Biology with Bioinformatics

This course is for biosciences graduates and for practising professionals seeking to widen their experience and qualifications, and extend their knowledge of applied molecular biology/bioinformatics. It provides an understanding of the subjects key principles as well as how these can be effectively applied to a wide range of industrial and environmental applications. You will be challenged to look to the frontiers of current thinking in the subject, and to be aware of how your studies impact on your future career/professional role. To complement this you will gain intellectual and transferable skills such as independent planning, hypothesis formulation and testing, and the importance of originality.

Entry requirements

Normally you should have a good Honours degree or equivalent in a bioscience subject, plus 1 to 2 years appropriate experience, although substantial professional experience can substitute for graduate status. Graduates from other disciplines (eg. computer science) are welcome to apply. You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent). If you are currently employed, we request a statement of support from your employer.
