Environmental Pollution Control

Preventing and controlling pollution of the environment is a major challenge facing both developed and developing countries. This applied Master's course provides students with a detailed understanding of the key environmental pollutants and of the current methods used to control pollution from land, water and atmospheric sources.

Entry requirements

A cognate science degree with a minimum 2nd Class Honours. Candidates without these qualifications will be considered for entry by assessing levels of professional experience and skills, using School based procedures for APL. For students whose 1st language is not English, a standard of both written and spoken English equivalent to IELTS 6.0 is required.

Typical modules may include: water pollution control; bioremediation; contaminated land; air pollution control; professional communication skills; research methods; research project.
