University of Wolverhampton
This course develops knowledge and understanding of civil engineering to develop careers within the construction profession. Students develop their capabilities for investigation, analysis and design in the context of a dynamic global environment where complexity of factors such as sustainability and environmental impact have a significant impact on engineering processes. In addition, over 50% of the course is concerned with deepening abilities in technical and project management subjects.
A minimum of 2.2 Honours degree in a Civil Engineering discipline, or equivalent is normally required. Graduates from other engineering disciplines can also apply, however they would have to go through an interview process prior to securing admission to the course. Applicants with substantial professional experience in related fields with a qualification equivalent to at least Higher National Certificate/Diploma will also be considered. These candidates need to produce evidence of the professional experience (ie references, portfolio of projects, etc), and attend an interview.
