Emergency Planning Resilience and Response
Normally candidates for this course hold a 1st degree or evidence of level 6/7 study achieved at or above a minimum pass grade or equivalent. However, candidates are considered for the course that have experience related to the areas of study for example already working in emergency planning resilience and response. If English is not the applicant's 1st language they need to have a TOEFL score of 550 or above, or an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to these scores. Accreditation of prior experience and learning (APCL) (students may apply for up to 90 credits of APCL (accreditation of prior certificated learning and/or accreditation of prior experiential learning) subject to the guidelines set out in the SHAW APL Guidelines).
Modules include: emergency resilience, planning and response; commanding a range of incident responses; communicating in and training for disasters.
