Military History

This course enables students to engage with military historians and academics through ongoing lectures and discussion seminars. Students will be offered a wide range of topics to explore such as war theorists, military technologies, and counter insurgency tactics. They will then be able to combine research with skills based analysis under the supervision of a qualified expert in the field.

Entry requirements

Bachelor of Arts degree in a humanities based subject to be verified with the programme director. You should also have a good standard of written and spoken English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent).

Course modules

Modules include: the discipline of military history; the rise of air power; the evolution of modern sea power; war media and propaganda; the American civil war; the 2nd world war; the art of war to the age of napoleon.
