International Management

This course is grounded in the most recent and emerging contexts such as global shifts in economic power, hyper-competition, new consumer behaviours, virtual space communication, climate change and fast-paced innovation in technology. Students will learn how to develop sustainable strategies to attract key talent, maintain competitive advantage, manage change and create a supportive organisational culture. A particular feature of this programme is the opportunity to specialise in a particular aspect of modern management to suit students' interests and future career plans, e.g. financial decision-making; coaching and mentoring or corporate reputation management.

Entry requirements

Either a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent. The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each component). Other English language qualifications will be considered.

Course modules

Modules include: business investigationand discovery; corporate intelligence; leadership and change management; strategic marketing in the digital economy; strategic resourcing and talent management; strategy, sustainability and the global economy. Project alternatives: management project (based upon 'client' brief); or dissertation. Options from: financial decision making for managers; or coaching and mentoring for business leaders; or managing corporate reputation.

Assessment methods

Assessments will involve both written coursework assignments and examinations in the key areas of management. The Master's award will require students to complete a supervised 10,000 word dissertation.
