Mentoring and Coaching

This course is aimed at education professionals seeking to develop their theoretical understanding of mentoring and coaching, and their mentoring and coaching skills.

Entry requirements

A 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree in a relevant subject area; a wide range of relevant experience. The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each component).

Course modules

Modules include: contemporary issues in education (theory, policy and practice); research methods; dissertation; mentoring and coaching; the practice of mentoring and coaching; theoretical perspectives on coaching; negotiated learning.

Assessment methods

All modules are supported through taught sessions and are assessed through a 3,000 word assignment.
